ABOUT ME

Hello!

I'm Tamzen and I work as a freelance fashion design consultant from my little office studio in the kildare countryside, just outside of Dublin, Ireland.  This is my blog where I will share with you snippets that form a part of my day to day creative life.

Feel free to drop me an e mail at tamzenlundydesigns@gmail.com for more information and to hear how I can help you with creative projects and fashion consultancy!

That's me above going back to Art college last year- for a visit... I look kind of happy, scary happy. I gained my 1st class honors @ Manchester Met in '99 and went from there to Brussels to an in-house design position for the giant retailer that is C&A.

I moved back to Ireland and swapped over to Buying, with Penneys-Primark in 2002- working my way up the "food chain" in the women's- department. Until in 2007 I looked after 30% of the women's department (volume by budget), and my departments were Knitwear, basic jersey, and casual sports.

Freedom and freelancing beckoned in 2007, while on maternity leave. Using my contacts from from my supply base across the years I decided to design direct for manufacturers in the Far East, primarily. They in turn sell into the high street retailers. In this way the manufacturer has a great design, trend info and eye on the market and I can liaise if needs be with European clients.

I have worked with Zara, Pull & Bear, C&A, Esprit, Pre-Natal, George @ Asda, Heatons, and have liaised directly with designers and buyers within these organisations as well as working closely with Far East manufacturers.

I provide a twice yearly trend pack, as well as monthly design packs to my regular clients- above from my little studio... ( but happily I get to travel to pitti filati once a year too)!

To the local Irish business market I have worked on many small projects, including business branding & marketing, helping out with their promotional material and graphics- posters, business cards, and face book banners.

When I am not working on fashion I will be out in the garden, having designed over 50+ residential gardens in the last 5 years as  part of my "portfolio career". Or I'll be putting together a textile piece from some of my landscape art; if I get a break from looking after these three maggots. My next project might be an art & craft club, inspiring the next creative generation and being inspired everyday by them.

If you think I can help with some design work, some knitwear design, some trend, colours, or graphics.. email me... I'll get back to you soon...
